Outreach Vets Pty Ltd was started by Dr Tering Stafford and Nurse Belinda Wallace after working many years in the veterinary industry and in particular with welfare-based projects. We are a small private company developed to fulfil a need for veterinary assistance in Tasmania. Outreach vets is currently available to anyone needing veterinary support direct to their door.

Dr Tering Stafford is a 2005 Murdoch University Graduate, BSc(vetbiol) BVMS and Veterinary Surgeon. Her work roles have included Head Veterinarian of Dogs Homes of Tasmania, Founding Director of Hobart Community Vet Hospital, Coordinator of Delta Dog Safe Primary Education Program, Chief Coordinator of the Forcett Bushfire Animal Relief Program, Executive Officer of the Animal Ethics Committee University of Tasmania, and the veterinary member of the Tasmanian Wildlife Steering Committee. Tering also ran Tasmania’s welfare and wildlife hospital, Thylacine lutruwita. Tering is currently a Board Director with Animal Resource Cooperative (ARC).

Tering is a very well-known senior leader in the Veterinary community and a proven leader in animal rescue, welfare and business.

Belinda is a Veterinary nurse with 25 years’ experience in the industry including management. Belinda has also been a part of an outreach veterinary business in Central Queensland, scheduling clinics, ensuring the veterinary vehicle is stocked and ready to go and also assisting on site at the clinics. These clinics could cover a range of services from a simple vaccination to castration of a horse whilst working in some very trying environments. Working alongside Dr Davies on several projects already has made Tering and Belinda a great team.
